Call For Young Artists/Authors Stillwater Deadline is Friday, April 10, 2015NOTE: May 1, 2015, deadline on the form is for the
international competition. All entries must be delivered to the City of
Stillwater Community Center by April 10, 2015, to qualify for the local
competition. The local winners will be submitted to the international
competition by the Stillwater Sister Cities Council.

Shawn Cronquist Shawn Hatfield Cronquist, 46, died on November 7, 2014 in Stillwater,
Oklahoma at his home with Mary, his wife of 25 years. His funeral
services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Strode
Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. A lunch will be held before services
at Multi Graphics Center in Stillwater at noon. Interment will be at
Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of
Muslim Voices Book discussion group focusing on themes of courage and community. Participants receive a copy of each book and must attend all 4 sessions.

Dorothy Akin honored with Citizen Recognition Award (STILLWATER, OKLA. / April 23 2014) Since moving to Stillwater in 1995 to be closer to her grandchildren, Dorothy Akin has been an active member of the community. Akin, who received the Stillwater City Council Citizen Recognition Award on Monday, had a rough childhood that inspired her belief in positive thinking and giving back.
